Supports PNG, JPEG, WebP, and more. Your image never leaves your device.

What is a glitch effect?

Glitch combines a fixed random pattern of horizontal bands, channel shifts, noise, and scanlines to create the look of disrupted digital video. It adds a bold accent to music, gaming, and technology visuals.

Parameters

Strength
Controls horizontal band count and thickness as well as the scale of horizontal displacement. Higher values intensify the same distortion pattern.
RGB shift, block noise, and scanlines
RGB shift separates color channels across the image and is stronger inside horizontal bands. Block noise adds rectangular distortion, and scanlines control horizontal line darkness.
Randomize
Use this to try a different distortion pattern. It keeps the current parameter values and changes only the placement and shape of the glitches.

How to use the glitch effect

  1. Choose an image.
  2. Adjust strength, RGB shift, block noise, and scanlines, then use Randomize when you want to try a different pattern.
  3. Check the preview and save.

Frequently asked questions

Will transparent areas in a PNG remain transparent?
Yes. Horizontal offsets preserve the original transparent areas instead of moving image content into them. Save as PNG or WebP to keep transparency.
